Invitation - Waste Management


Dear SBC members and friends of Switzerland,

In the framework of the “The Swiss Sustainability Series”, H.E. Massimo Baggi, Ambassador of Switzerland accredited to the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, will host, in cooperation with the Swiss Business Council Environmental Group, a panel discussion on the Challenges in Waste Management, followed by a networking reception at the Swiss Residence on Monday, 11 November 2019 at 19 hrs.

In the context of the renewal of the Swiss-UAE MoU on Cooperation in the Field of Water and Energy, the Embassy of Switzerland to the UAE and Bahrain would like to establish a platform for dialogue on a number of issues linked to sustainability.

The program is the following:

19.00 hrs            Arrival of guests and welcome drinks

19.30 hrs            Welcome remarks by H.E. Massimo Baggi, Ambassador of Switzerland

19.35 hrs            Keynote on waste management in the UAE by Madhu Mohan, Chief Innovation Officer, Dulsco

19.45 hrs            Panel discussion with the following speakers:

  • H.E. Dr. Salem Al Kaabi, General Director,  Tadweer
  • Brett Stanion, Head of Cleaning and Waste, Expo 2020
  • Roni Araiji, Managing Director, HZI Abu Dhabi
  • Riad Bestani, General Manager, Geocycle
  • Vincent Pasquier, Deputy Head of Mission of the Swiss Embassy

20.45 hrs            Apéro Riche with opportunity for deeper conversations
