Dear Members, Partners and Friends of the Swiss Business Council Abu Dhabi,
I announced last month that after more than 14 years I will be stepping down as President of the Swiss Business Council Abu Dhabi with effect from this year’s March 26th.
This one and last time I would like to reach out to all of you and thank you for supporting the SBC Abu Dhabi in general, and specifically, for the 14 years that I was its President.
Over the past years we have collaborated intensely with you, our members as well as our partners and other business councils in Abu Dhabi, strengthening collaborations, building up a strong and diverse network, bridging Switzerland and the UAE, bringing benefits to us all and our members – and without your support and cooperation all the great things the SBC Abu Dhabi has achieved would not have been possible.
Thanks to the generous support of our members and partners, the SBC Abu Dhabi has become a voice recognized by the business community in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the UAE. We have been providing a platform for exchanging ideas, meeting and networking with people who are interested in Switzerland. For over 19 years, the SBC Abu Dhabi has been serving our community by organizing and supporting a wide range of cultural, educational and business-related events.
Please allow me a personal note to wholeheartedly thank the Executive Committee members – both past and present – who have devoted not only their time but also their energy, ideas and hearts to the Swiss Business Council Abu Dhabi and with whom over the years we have not only grown together as one great team but who have become dear friends.
Another big “thank you” goes to our official supporters, the Swiss Embassy to the UAE and the Swiss Business Hub as well as the SBC Dubai & Northern Emirates and especially Mr. Peter Harradine its President, who have been with us all along the way, giving guidance and collegial support.
The past 14 years with the SBC Abu Dhabi have been for me both exciting and enriching, also turbulent and challenging at times but have always been a rewarding, treasured and important part of my life that I will always cherish and forever remember fondly.
Finally, also on behalf of the Executive Committee, I would like to sincerely thank you for your trust and support all these years, and I wish you continued success and prosperity in 2019 and beyond!
