As a recognised organization for Swiss abroad, the Swiss Business Council UAE provides the possibility to issue attested letters.

Life certificate and Swiss pension AHV

Each year, a ‘Certificate of life and marital status’ form is sent to all recipients eligible for pension benefits. As an officially recognized administration, this attestation may be done at the office of the Swiss Business Council in Dubai at a fee*, for all pensioners residing in UAE. This service is available for those not be able to visit the Embassy of Switzerland in Abu Dhabi.

To ensure uninterrupted payment of your pension, please anticipate to provide the attestation at least a few weeks before the 90 days deadline indicated on your letter received with your form. Failure to do so will automatically halt the payment of your pension.

Kindly note that the below is required for validation:

  • Original AHV Certificate
  • Original passport
  • If your marital status has changed, please also provide a legal document
  • If your address has changed, kindly inform the Swiss Embassy in Abu Dhabi
  • *Fees vary for members and non-members, including courier service and VAT. Fees
    are to solely be made in cash at the office (exact change appreciated). Receipt
    provided upon reception of payment.
