Together for the environment

The Swiss Business Councils intends be present and active on the scene of environment in the UAE. To this end - in jointly efforts with the Swiss Embassy, the Swiss Business Hub Middle East and the EPFL Middle East - it has created the Environmental Group (SBC-EG). The SBC-EG includes a number of organizations and member companies that belong to the SBC that have an interest and/or competences in environmental issues. It is open to the partners of these organizations - in the UAE and in Switzerland - and an interface with UAE Governments as well as public and private companies.

The Group Mission

The overarching objective of the SBC-EG is to make a meaningful contribution to the development of better environmental practices in the UAE, by leveraging on the expertise of individual members or their partners, in different fields that pertain to sustainability and environment preservation. The SBC-EG offers local government and business interests a window on “Swiss-made” strategies, practices and technologies - developed both in Switzerland and in the UAE. The SBC-EG develops activities in the following directions: Rising Awareness, building bridges and connecting people.
